View Full Version : How many people have come to know the Lord through reading RR?

With our membership over 10,000, I was honestly curious as to how many have given their life to the Lord or at least gotten stronger in their relationship with God as a result of reading or posting here. Please Note: I know that it is God who saves you but I was wondering if anything you read or posted here made you want to give your life to the Lord. Or maybe it was something here at RR that touched you deeply that made your relationship stronger. Don't be afraid to post, let us rejoice with you! :thumb

Stronger in my relationship, I think. Although I think I have backslidden somewhat of late. :sigh

Most certainly I have learned more about His Word via this board then I had ever learned in 12 years of Christian schooling and attending church.

I understand completely! Though I have never gone to Christian schools, I learned more here than I have in discipleship classes.

And it has made my relationship stronger to where if I feel like giving up or I have backslidden, it seems someone will post something (without knowing what I am going through) and it will help me tremendously.

Hmmm, I think feeling wise my relationship was stronger some few months ago, heart wise it varies, and mentally I always come back even in the midst of doubt.

Yeah, I have noticed that during my doubts, here is the only place I do come. I will be praying for you though fris...hope you don't mind! :): God bless!

Almost a direct mirror of me.

When I came here 8 months ago I considered myself an agnostic. How I have grown since I owe greatly to those who post here. :):

Same here. Although I went to public school, I had to take "CCD" classes while growing up, then confirmation classes. I can't recall *anything* from those classes. And our church never seemed to encourage Bible reading, nor did they provide bulletins with the Sunday scripture readings so we could follow along. (I need to read, not just hear, to really comprehend). This board, and the online Beth Moore workshops I've taken, have helped me learn so much. :nod

I found this site right after 911. I have grown leaps and bounds beyond where I was. Todd's words actually convicted me to re-assess my walk and to re-commit my life to Christ. All of this because of this site and the knowledge that all of you have passed!

What a blessing this site is!! The Admins have also shown me how a mature Christian should respond and act (most of the time :B: ). I tip my hat to Christine, Medic, and the man who I think of as someone who will most definitley get the gift 'Loved His Appearing' - Werner.

This board is the best! :thumb

Gotten stronger in my relationship with God, I think. :): I think that's a natural result of seeing scripture quoted here on a daily basis and starting to pick up on it and memorize it--although the Holy Spirit helps in that regard (http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/bible?passage=JOHN%2B14%3A26&showfn=on&showxref=on&language=english&version=NKJV&x=6&y=11) too. :):

John 14:26 (NKJV)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Rapture ready has definitly been one of the gifts that the Lord bestowed upon me to help in my walk. I now know how to discuss topics and formulate my scriptural responses to critics of the bible.

Here are the other awesome gifts that the Lord has given us:

The Rock & the Rabbi, playing all over the world www.theplazatheatre.com
Calvary Chapel, Orlando, Merritt Island and Ft. Lauderdale
Beth Moore Bible Studies
950 AM radio (Christian talk radio)
www.doerivergorge.com Christian camp for kids in Tenn.
