The father of my coworker has terminal cancer and has about three weeks to live, he is 85. He is still mentally very sharp however weak. The night before last the 80 year old wife of this man (sleeping in a separate bedroom) woke up to people singing in the house. She went to the other end of the house to check on her husband. He was awake when she walked in to his room, he explained to his wife that men had been standing in his room and one man was very tall. When asked about the song that she had heard, she stated that she knew it was a religious song. "The saints are happy" or something similar to that was repeated numerous times.

My friend went on to tell me that when his mother went back to her bed, the singing that she had heard earlier began again. This is a very sharp woman with good hearing. Please comment if have personal experience or have heard of others involved with someone that is nearing death such as in this case. My friend is looking for a possible explanation to this.

I have known of several terminally ill saints, who began to be aware of angels as their deaths approached. And, sadly, I know of one dying sinner, who saw demons in the last days and hours of her life. Her family, wanting desperately to reassure her, told her "those are just angels, it's okay". And she replied, I KNOW they are, but they're EVIL angels! But although she was terrified, she somehow could not turn to Jesus for salvation at that late hour...I don't know why, but she just couldn't do it. By contrast, my grandfather began to converse with the angels that attended him in his last hours. And he did like Joseph...called us all together, children and grandchildren, blessed us all, and then laid down and died. There is a stark contrast between the death of a saint and the death of a sinner. I would never want to face death without Jesus.

Yes. In 1997, my mom a believer of 61 years and a preachers wife of 50 years, called me to say that some people had accidentally walked into her apartment during the middle of the night. They woke her. They asked her if she would like to go with them. She said there must be some mistake, they must be in the wrong apartment, but she said they were nice. They came back the next night. They woke her again, but she didn't say much about that second incident. She was 82, pretty good health. 4 days later she called me to say she couldn't get her breath, so i went over and her lips were purple and she couldn't breath, called ambulance, took her to hospital where they said her heart was failing and they couldn't do anything except make her comfortable. She passed a few hours later. We asked if she saw Jesus, she said no. We asked if she saw angels, she said "no, but I can feel them". An hour before she died she sat up and said "He is Faithful and True". Later I saw that in Rev. 19:11 it says he will be called Faithful and True....go read it - it will give you goose bumps. But, I have alway wondered about the people she said had come to visit by "mistake" in the middle of the night 4 days before she left us.
