This treaty (Law of the Sea Treaty) was supposed to be dead 20 years Ago. Most people are concerned about Gay rights or the Passion movie. Passage by the SENATE of this Treaty is about to make those concerns seem extremely small...while we are being distracted by some issues, other issues are of much greater consequence...to our personal lives...

Implications of this Treaty – for the USA:

1. It will create the Largest United Nations Government

2. It will have jurisdiction over all of the Waters of the Earth, and anything moving across them

3. It will have its own Police Force

4. The Vessels of Signatory nations can be taken and used by the U.N., for the activities of the United Nations. Basically, the treaty allows the U.N. to use American Military Fleet ships, and re-staff them with U.N. Personnel, and then allows That new U.N. Force to go and interdict Cargo and Goods destined from other nations to the U.S. (and Vice Versa)

5. It also sets up an International Tax base and allows the U.N. to receive more funds from U.S. Taxpayers

6. It allows the U.N. to stop Vessels and Countries to Ship from One nation to Another. So in other words, it gives the U.N. the authority to interfere with the Commercial use of
Vessels that the U.S. uses for Imports & Exports – which is literally, in the BILLIONS of Dollars every Day.

7. And there are more provisions that have been changed to a Greater U.S. Disadvantage. IF you think that Kofi Annan is controversial now, you wait until he has a Fleet of Ships that your Tax Dollars Paid for, and is stopping Cargo operations To and From the U.S. – because he disagrees with our policies.

8. Treaty Law – legally – Does supercede the Constitution or it is currently recognized as such.

Did I mention that this treaty will allow the U.N. to Restrict U.S. SUBMARINES from entering certain areas and certain oceans at their discretion ? That would be interesting if the U.N. decided that U.S. Ships could NOT be sent to the Persian Gulf or to help Taiwan or other nations.

9. It is very late in the Game to do something, but this is the Fault of Senator Lugar and it is his Pet project.

10. Contact your Senators who are on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Contact a Political organization with some of the info from Lamb’s articles.

11. Oh it also forces the U.S. to share the results of Intelligence Collections Activities with the United Nations, thereby turning the U.S. Intelligence community into an Arm of the United Nations.

12. It further mandates Forced Technology Transfer, so that we give our latest & best technologies to other nations

13. Of Course, Senator Kerry is supporting this Treaty. But that is NOT the point. The Point is that Most of the other Senators are Also supporting this treaty. This is another Attempt to Carve up this country, by giving away its jurisdiction and sovereignty and turn us into a Third World nation. Help make sure that they will not succeed.

The Time to Act on this is Very very Short.

1. It will create the Largest United Nations Government

How does this make sense ? Isn’t the U.N. already the “largest” government ?

Right now, the U.N. is basically mostly on Paper. So it is the largest global agency with global reach, but it has no fleets of its own. And its authority and its ability to receive revenue...is still very small. This treaty will change that.

The idea is to equip various U.N. agencies (and there are many) with the Assets of the governments that the U.N. has jurisdiction over. But on a realistic basis, Europe is busy equipping Europe, and most countries don’t have the funds or the physical ships that can do the jobs that the U.S. can do. So on a practical basis, this means that the U.N. talks about global cooperation, but what this really means is “U.S. Taxpayer” cooperation.

You don’t really think that India, China or Russia is going to give any of Their ships to the U.N. Do you ? Basically, this transfers a great deal of the Department of the Navy over to the U.N. and gives the U.N. global reach.

When the U.N. Agency [of this New U.N. Agency that this treaty will create] then has the fleets, the men and the Intel, then it becomes a true U.N. Agency with global reach and military power. Where would it get the men for the ships ?

Well there are plenty of Chinese (PRC) who have an interest in U.S. technology and U.S. Ships...

You may or may not have mentioned it also gives the UN jurisdiction over 70% of the world's land mass.

This means that they can restrict the use of private property here in the US.

In some places they've already started to do this. IE a New Yorker whose land in upstate NY was converted to open spaces by a UN mandate. This poor guy didn't know it until he was charged with tresspassing on his own property. He can't even let his dog on certain parts of his land because its sort of a game reserve. That is, its suppose to be allowed to return to its original condition before man came along. Yet he continues to pay taxes on it. I had this happen to me in RI. I had land I couldn't touch and still had to pay taxes on it, at a premium rate.

This is part of the new religion (New Age, PETA, etc.) malarkey which is pushing for large tracts of land to be deemed off limits so that the animals can run free and the land return to its original wildness. (Opposite of what God told man to do in Gen., and the exact reason for His judgement in Babylon.) If this land happens to belong to you, too bad. I believe there's a map somewhere showing the land they desire to get their hands on in this manner. Much of it includes the interior of the US, with everyone forced to live in approved areas.

BTW, the Statute of Liberty is owned by the UN. It was signed over (during the Clinton reign I think) as a world monument to liberty or some such thing. In other words, since liberty is for everyone (tongue in cheek) then the monument can't be owned by just one country or people.
