Can someone help me find where in the NT it states to live a pure life close to Jesus. Specifically, to stay away from anything ungodly, perverted, and sinfull.

Well, other than pretty much the entire Bible... here is one of my favorite verses.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, [Rom 14:18; 1 Pet 2:12] whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
