And let me tell you this thing is an EYE OPENER!
I can't comment alot as I am only half way through it but it is turning almost everything I believe on it's ear! No, no, not in salvation through the grace of God and belief as Christ as risen Messiah! This is a Christian book after all!
However it's is 100% about growing closer to God (more of Jesus) before ANY and EVERYTHING else!
While that sounds simple just hearing it, reading abouthow most of we Christians do not do this is heartbreaking (because of it's truth).
For example, my daughter.
I so LOOOOOONG for her to know Christ and live in a daily walk with Him that I place that desire FIRST in my life. THis happens without me noticing because of how "nobel" the desire is! But this book is teaching how it is un-Godly because it comes before my drawing closer to Christ personally!
Are many of us guilty of this? Of chasing after the "blessed life" rather than the blesser? Do we want God to bless us more than draw closer to us?
Like I said, this book is an EYE OPENER! Any thoughts on what I have said so far?
I will be back with more as I finish the book!
