adam=man seth=appointed enos=mortal cainan=sorrow mahalaleel=the blessed God jared=shall come down enoch=teaching methuselah=his death shall bring lamech=the despairing noah=comfort or rest the root hebrew of these words ..........in gen ch 5 spells out the gospel praise God
