My son told me yesterday that he wanted a Bible for Christmas! I wanted to get him a nice leather one with his name engraved in it, but I haven't found any like that online. Does anyone know where to find them? And what would they be classified as? A text bible?

Lifeway.com has some I think
CBD (Christian Book Distributers, also online somewhere)
And The American Bible Society (online as well) do sell such bibles.

Christian Book Distributors - probably the lowest prices. I have been buying through them since 1983.

Thomas Nelson offers some excellant Bibles.
Christian books is a good distributor.
If you are looking for KJV may I suggest the 135BG. A Dispensional study Bible and quite nice. About $35. My uncle had a store and this was one of his favorite selections.
If you looking for a dispensational prophetic Bible - John Hagee Ministries has a comfortable NJKV that is packed with notes. About $45. Please note, I think the paper is a bit too thin so you can see the print too easily on the other side.
If your looking for something a little more contemporary - how about the Nelson 2265BG - The Word in Life Study Bible. Chalked full of illustrations, explanations presented in a rather peaceful presentation. In the $40 range, I think.
So much to choose from.
