The King of Pop is restyling himself Jacko X.

Michael Jackson last night became a member of the Nation of Islam - and sources told The Post his religious changeover comes along with a shake-up of his personal staff.

High-ranking members of the Nation of Islam have been working to bring Jackson into Rev. Louis Farrakhan's flock - and Jackson's conversion is now well-known in the NOI community.

Exactly why Jackson converted wasn't clear to The Post's sources.

But Fox News's Web site reported yesterday that Jackson's brother Jermaine, who converted to Islam in 1989, has been seeking to win favor with his more famous sibling, and has brought Farrakhan's chief of staff, Leonard F. Muhammad, into Jacko's inner circle as a "bodyguard."

That's just one of many changes under way in Jackson's inner circle, sources said.

Word of Jackson's religious conversion comes as prosecutors prepared to formally file charges against him in a California child-molestation case - and as authorities agreed to return Jackson's passport to him so he can travel to Great Britain this weekend.

Jackson isn't expected to return until Jan. 6, lawyers said in court papers. Lawyers also agreed to put off Jackson's arraignment for five days, until Jan. 16.

Jackson remains free on $3 million bail after he surrendered to authorities and was arrested on Nov. 20. Two days earlier, cops tore through Neverland, his amusement-park-style estate just outside Los Olivos, Calif., looking for evidence to back up molestation claims made by a 14-year-old boy.

Although there's talk that some in Jackson's camp want to replace defense lawyer Mark Geragos, the high-priced Hollywood attorney appeared in firm control yesterday, and met privately in the afternoon with Santa Barbara County District Attorney Thomas Sneddon.

Sneddon said he plans to file the charges personally this afternoon at the courthouse in Santa Maria, Calif.

The King of Pop has vigorously denied the molestation claims.

L.A. County social workers in February cleared Jackson of allegations he molested that boy. But former Santa Barbara County Sheriff Jim Thomas has said he believes the alleged Santa Barbara County molestation took place after the L.A. County probe.

I still don't understand why they gave him back his passport to travel. If it was Joe Smith who was being accused of these charges, you can bet the farm Joe would not be allowed to travel anywhere, much less out of the country.

Blacks and Islam?! There are plenty Muslims around the world of all colors. And the last time I looked Michael Jackson has done every thing he could to no longer appear "black".

Sorry, but I have trouble with an entire race being seen as unable to accept Christ because of how another race chose to portray Him.

These were my thoughts too. He may have been offered not only money but legal aid as well in exchange for his conversion.

Islam has it's factions, but the "Nation of Islam" is what we know people like Lewis Farakkan from...

I heard them talking about this on Fox News about a week ago. They are trying to turn this into a discrimination issue. They said that he was humiliated by making him wear handcuffs. It's a law that all prisoners have to wear handcuffs in the back of a police car. Personally, I'm sick of people trying to make everything a black vs white issue or a christian vs muslim issue. And I'm tired of everyone feeling sorry for the poor child molester. Why aren't people sick over the MULIPLE CHARGES of violating small boys???

Just because someone has been charged with something X number of times does not mean that the person did it. Also Jackson, like all defendants, is INNOCENT until proven guilty by a court of law :thumb :nod

Lonewolf, you are wrong on many counts.

For your question, light hair does not mean light complexion. I have an Indian friend that had naturally blonde hair. Go down to Brazil, there are tons of dark (non-white) people with light hair.

Secondly, that verse you are using is refering to Jesus in all His glory.... well, as a candlestick rather, not what he looked like walking around here.

Thirdly, If you want to use that verse, then you have to use the next one

Hair white as wool does not mean blond hair. It means white hair. And like I said, I don't think he was walking around here looking like that. He would have really stood out among the rest of the dark and olive skinned middle easterners and the Bible clearly states that..... Please explain to me why X number of accusations against a defendant is solid evidence that they did what they are accussed of doing.

Just because they haven`t had a trial, doesn`t mean that we don`t KNOW that they are guilty.

How do you KNOW that Jackson is guilty? Do you have special access to the police records, witnesses, etc?

I read that the alleged victim is the cancer patient that was seen on the documentary back in Feb where the two are sitting on the couch holding hands. Now that scene sent chills up my spine. It was very unnatural for Michael to be holding hands (fingers intwined) with a young boy and say they sleep in the same room.

What concerns me is that Michael doesn't see what is wrong with those types of things. Which tells me he may no longer be able to tell what is appropriate and inappropriate behavior.

Michael is definitly a lost soul looking for something. But the only one who can heal him and save him is Christ.

:tsk Now I know you cannot possibly mean that as it sounds.

Did you mean, "Why are SOME blacks heavily recruited into Islam?"

Because I know the answer to that. It's the same reason SOME whites and SOME Asians and SOME of everybody else is..... because they are misled. It's because they have been decieved, and the devil wants as many people of all colors as he can get into hell.


Satan is an equal oppurtunity deciever - he doesn't care what color a person is, as long as he can lead his soul into hell.



*** On a side note, I tend to think the state of race relations today (and throughout history) is directly linked to God's curse on the descendants of Ham (one of Noah's three sons). Ham is the father of the African people and others who went south to re-populate. If you go to Genesis and read the curse God places on Ham's descendants, it makes sense as to why they have had so much trouble throughout history.

By the way, Shem was the father of the Jewish people (as in "Semite" - "Shem - ite"). And Japheth is the father of the European people who went north to re-populate).


Of course, each person is saved through Christ on an individual basis, and God relates to each person individually. God does not discriminate - He loves ALL people regardless of color or any other feature. But I think the "curse" still remains on the "people of Ham" as a whole. Kind of like how the Jews as a whole recieved punishment multiple times from God, yet individual Jews have always been able to be saved and delivered through Christ.

On the South side of Chicago is one of the area's largest mosques...which also happens to be situated in the largest concentration of blacks in the city....yes,the devil is going after everyone,including these folks....

There are Jews of every color under the sun. You cannot take a Jewish man from New York and use him as an example of what Jews 2000 years ago in Middle East looked like. That is just nonsensical. Just because most American and European Jews are white does not mean that Jesus was white. Come on now.

On Larry King last night Michael Jacksons brother "Jermaine?" (sp?) was on there with Michael's lawyer. They said this is not even true at all...that this is a fabricated story of the press again.

I just thought I would put that in there...of course I don't know if it's true or not, or what is fact and fiction with anything concerning Michael. But, thought I would post this on what I seen on Larry King's show last night.
