I spent 2 1/2 hours today witnessing to a friend of mine. He is not a born again christian. He does believe there is a God out there somewhere that is so big that we probably can't comprehend His greatness. He doesn't go to any church, has never heard much about the tribulation, the rapture, God's messege of salvation, etc.......just never had time to think much about any of it.

He believes all who live a good life will go to heaven, even those who are sincere in their belief within other religions. I did the best I could in those 2 1/2 hours with God's plan for us, the way of salvation, endtimes, Jesus' second coming and the upcoming judgements for all. Hopefully, I was able to plant some seeds.

He gave his opinion about something in which I had trouble providing an answer. He believes that God must have a way for those who have never heard the messege to get into heaven. An example would be those who, hundreds of years ago in the jungles of Africa, never heard the gospel, never convicted of any sin and therefore never had a choice to make. He doesn't believe those people would be lost. He believes if God has a plan for them, then certainly people today who live a good life will be covered under some huge plan from God.

I need help answering the "never heard/never a choice" issue. I did provide the following about this:

Job 36:26 God’s greatness is beyond our understanding.
Job 37:5 He does great things in marvelous ways beyond our understanding.
Psm. 19:1 Heavens declare glory of God.
Matt. 12:36,37 All will give account; by words acquitted or condemned.
Rom. 1:20 God’s eternal power and divine nature clearly seen; men without excuse.
Rom. 5:12 All have sinned.

Thanks.

Romans 1:18-20

18...For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.

19...because what may be known of God is manifest in them for God has shown it to them.

20...For since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse..

God has manifest to everyone, everywhere His invisible attributes. None will be without excuse.

Gray Fox,

Patty's post is excellent. When I'm asked the question; "What of the heathen?" I tell the person that everyone knows that there's a God because of creation and if they seek, with all their heart, to know Him God will move Heaven and Earth in order to give just that one person the gospel.

There are true stories of people from heathen nations who have either traveled great distances in their search for God or the Lord would send missionaries to them.

agreed,,,,

God is just and God is always right.

In that, I believe.
