Acts 26:22-23
Having, therefore, obtained help from God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great saying no other things than those which the prophets and Mosses did say should come:
23. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Rev. 1:17-18
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last;
18. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I as alive for evermore, Amen, and have the keys of hades and of death.

I was wondering it says here that Christ has the keys to hades and to death. Can someone give the the scriptures where it says He got those keys? Is it not true, and this is just a question, that He went to Hell after His death and got them?

Colossians 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.
19. For it pleased the father that in him should all fullness dwell;

John 1:3
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Matthew 25:41
….. the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Jesus Christ got the keys.....because it was He who molded the lock in the first place.

HE owns hell.....and rules it

Philippians 2:10
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Romans 14:11
It is written: " 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'

So when he died on the cross He didn't go to hell? I have always thought because the bible says He conqueor hell and the grave that He did. Am I wrong in my thinking on this?

Thank you all for your help on this, as I seek knowledge and wisdom in my Lord and His word.

According to Ephesians 4:9-10, Christ descended into the lower parts of the earth. Acts 2:31 also says, "He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption."
