Sometimes I will agree to pray with someone at the same time about certain issues or concerns that they may have or I may have. I live far away from everyone so this is the only way we can pray together. Well, the other night, I was supposed to stay up late and pray with my mom, I believe it was my mom. Anyway, it was getting late and I was starting to get very sleepy. I prayed for the Lord to wake me up because I didn't want to let this person down.

There is one thing that makes my blood boil...when my dog does something nasty on the carpet. Thank goodness for Hoover steam cleaners. ;):

Back to my story...not 2 minutes later after I prayed that, still sleepy, I saw my dog sneak out of the room beside me and run up the stairs. Sniff, sniff, ewwwwwwww....my dog did something nasty, and that woke me right up. Right away I started laughing about it because I think God knows what gets me stirred up and would make me stay up.....Needless to say I was able to pray at the same time, and was then up until 2:00 in the morning.

I could imagine Him saying, "What....you asked me to wake you up." :laugh

I can't say for sure that God did this but if He did it was perfect.

Some 20 years back I got the ideal job. It was almost impossible to be fired from there. Attempted murder was the only cause I ever heard stick. So I had my "Titanic" moment. You know, "Not even God could take this job away from me." I can almost hear Him in the background saying, "Oh yeah?"

Not long after I was on the outside looking in. Why? I got the brilliant idea that I should quit! Did that idea come from God? Again, I can't say with certainty but if He did it was a perfect gotcha!

BTW. God is good. I know, without doubt, that certain things which happened later, good things, would not have occured had I stayed where I was. My whole life changed for the better.

I don't know...but....everytime I start thinking "up there" you know...I'm good, I'm great, look at me I'm-all-that-and-a-bag-of-chips--

I always trip and fall on my butt. No joke. I really think it's God tapping me on the shoulder saying "Humble yourself, missy!!"

God played a pretty good joke on a friend of mine many years ago. She and I were secretaries at the University and as we took a little break from work, we complained that God was slow in bringing a man into our lives to marry.

She said, " Maybe my future husband is here, maybe he's right under my nose."

Right at that moment, her future husband walked past us. We both took one look at him and said,

"Nah, that's not the one."

The "that's not the one" and my friend have been married for 20 years.:pound

LOL.. I this actually just happened recently. I prayed so hard for someone to come a long and help me believe in Jesus. (You guys know how my athiesm trip has screwed me up). Remember how I said that I carry with me an apologetics book at all times...(ok not at all times now so much..I'm getting pretty good at attacks from Satan )

I got angry with God because he was not allowing any good evidence to come my way and how he didn't send anyone to me and everything. Then it suddenly happened that I remember something that I bought about 2 weeks earlier because it was cheap but I thought it was a stupid book because it had an ugly cover. I did not even know what it was about (other than about Christianity). Well what do The best darn one I have seen so far :faint
I was like..thanks.. I asked for a person and I got a book :doh (Ok its not funny now but it was earlier. I told my best friend and she started cracking up)

I know there was another funny story but I forget it now :doh It was a lot funnier too I believe

:B: As a matter of fact I think He has. One time on the board I corrected someone over a typo. In my post I made a glaring typo myself, I spelled prophecy phrophecy. I did`nt realise till someone brought it to my attention. Right after that happened I felt like God was saying way to go smart guy, can`t even spell prophecy.:B:
