I was just wondering how many people believes that God has healed them of some ailment, disease or any other health problem.

God has brought me through a lot...and through ailments I've had I know that He's been there seeing me through it and giving me peace and optimism. I haven't got any miraculous story about cancer, or anything quite that bad. I did have a tumor on the roof of my mouth, which could have been pretty bad...but everything turned out at just the right time and in just the right way that the doctors removed it...and there was no growth or return of it.

But I do believe He still heals people miraculously. I would be more apt to see it in real life than at a Benny Hinn gathering, though. I fell over at a Benny Hinn gathering...and I wasn't blessed by it at all. In fact, I was irritated. Why'd I fall over? I don't know. But that's another thread perhaps.

Godspeed,
Matthew

I know He does. About a week after my first surgery my hormones went crazy. I felt like I was losing my mind. Not in an angry sense but literally like my mind was not working right. It was incredibly frightening. My mom, stepdad and hubby laid hands on me and prayed for me and within hours I was back to normal.

I know thats not as exciting as the lame walking or the blind seeing but I was pretty happy to have my mind back, I'll tell ya. :D:

I wanted to add that hubby had tears in his eyes afterwards and later told me he felt the very real presence of Jesus while we were praying.

I have personally laid hands on members of the congregation I attend-- with others-- and we have seen them healed.

We also have been praying for many people, and seen them healed.

I also have experienced this as well.

Yes, YHVH still heals!

Yes, He definitely still heals. :nod
...It's just that He probably never does it for the sake of the false preachers who want money for the healing. Talk about hearts in the wrong place. :tsk

True story ... when my MIL was 6 months old, she got double pneumonia. This was in the 1930s (think Dust Bowl) in the Depression in the Midwest. Even so, her dad took her to not only the town doctor but the city doctor 30 miles away. This was before antibiotics and both doctors told him there was nothing they could do for her. So her parents called the church pastor and elders to come lay hands on her, because that's what the Bible said to do. So they came and laid hands on her and prayed and annointed her with oil.

As the deacons were leaving, out of ear-shot of the family, they stopped to talk about how they'd soon have to plan a funeral for the baby.

Instead ... she got better! Even though no one "had faith in their faith" or had any mystical experiences ... she recovered.

My SIL had meningitis when she was 18 months old and was very sick in teh hospital. My in-laws were told she was so sick, she might die... but if she lived, she'd be a vegetable. DH said all he can remember is both his parents crying so hard. I don't know who prayed or how, but SIL ... although she admits to being "mental" ... has graduated college, married, has a family and has served as a missionary overseas.

God has the last word!

Yes, I believe He definitely heals today.

A year and a half ago.....I was back in my Lord's hands after 10 years of being backslidden....and I remember one night crying out to Him from my emotional scars and past memories...and I was divinely touched Him. After that night all the pain in the deepest part of my soul was gone. He healed me that night.

I believe He heals today. :thumb

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever.

I had a tumor on my pituitary gland about 8 years ago..which they saw on an MRI...when I went back for another MRI about a year later my home fellowship prayed for me while i was there on a Wednesday evening as I was having it. When the results came back...they could not see it on the new MRI. It's gone.

Absolutely!

I have a 20 year old nephew who is about as devout of a Christian as I have ever seen. He has been since a child. He is an overachiever, of sorts, and was accepted to the US Naval Academy after being a track star in high school. While playing soccer for Navy, he blew out a ligament in his knee. X-rays showed a very definite and very career-threatening (for running and for the military) tear. He was able to hobble around for a short while until his next break in school when he was going to have the surgery to repair it ...and see if he could get waivers to stay in school. But, when he went back to the doctor, they found a complete and uninjured ligament. He has had no trouble and is back running and playing soccer with no ill-effects. Anyone who knows anything about the biology of tendons, knows that these do not regenerate on their own. It is truly a miracle and a true sign that God does heal people today.

Definately! I have personally experienced healing of memories from childhood and I am currently seeing the relationship with my mother healed. Nothing short of a miracle! Praise God!

From my personal experiences,He doesn't. But my wifes grandma was healed of cancer back in the 40's from what they say. I've never seen anything. My mom died of cancer after having been prayed for from many sources and annointed with oil, elders, etc etc. I even thought I was given a scripture concerning her 'don't worry she'll get well' kind of thing. Cruelly, she did not. My wife had a friend, a strong Christian young lady, who had a brain tumor. She swore God was going to heal her, going around telling folks that's what God said and believing in faith. She,too, died. Also had a close friend back in 95 who was a Christian, born again, etc, who developed Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma....she,too,died after multiple prayers. So my own experience is no,He does not heal anymore. So I've changed my prayers to include KEEP us from getting this stuff! Because getting it is a sure death sentence apparently,or in the great amount of cases. And I find it VERY hard to pray for anyone else to be healed.....I just don't have the faith to believe it after all I've seen and experienced.....

I absolutly believe our Abba still heals today! He never changes and we are His kids, His sheep halleluYAH. i stand on His word that He is the healer and that we are healed by the stripes Yahushua took for us. i personally dont believe in going to doctors since my daddy made all things. i trust in his will to be done with me since i dont belong to myself but to him and this body is His temple. I thank Him and praise Him that he is faithful and true and I pray His glory be shown in me and how he takes care of me and provides for me. and HalleluYAH that as amazing as our own lives are in Him we are all individually just one memeber of the sheep herd that He cares for :thumb

I would be apt to believe that all these situations, as hard as it is to say and to come to grips with, were meant to be. God is sovereign, and He heals some and has His reasons for not healing all. I have dealt with a lot of pain in my life, and near death experiences. In fact, there are many reasons why I ought not be here now. But God brought me through...I am alive...and I am healthy...and there is a reason and purpose for it to be as it is. Just know that all those individuals are now home with the Lord. We are immortal till our work for the Lord is done.

Godspeed,
Matthew

That's right. When Jesus came he only healed a certain amount of people. Now to unsaved people that might sound unfair but God is in control he is a loving father who says

Yes
No
Not Yet

I've yet to find an account where Jesus denied someone their healing in the Gospels.

All He came in contact with were either healed, or were healed in due time (10 lepers).

I would say it's more at "not yet" rather than a no.

I had a friend of the family that died this year, had cancer for the last 20 YEARS. not months, YEARS.

She lived, so she could minister to Us, and bring glory to YHVH!
When it was time for her to be healed, G-d gracefully and mercifully carried her home.

Her healing was a "not yet".. and believe me, that smile couldn't have been taken off of her face even in death!

Well you tell me, you're the one with the sharp memory ;):
I used to go around the mountain in these types of discussions before. :heh
(in re: to post (http://www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?postid=1331969#post1331969))

Seriously, though, it can be either.
It doesn't mean if you're not healed it IS your fault, God can prolong the solution for His own sovereign reasons.

But on the flipside it is also expressed in scripture -

Jam 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Jam 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Jam 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

So am I saying that all who do not receive healing or have their prayers answered are wavering in faith?
Not even close. I haven't had prayers answered before myself.
But we should always be giving ourselves that heart check regardless.

Let me state for the record, in case you haven't seen, there is no such thing as 'not enough faith'. That's nonsense.

God has given to every man a measure of faith (Romans 12:3), and it is up to us to exercise that measure and put our faith solidly in God and His word, or not.

The rest is in God's hands.

Of course He does!!!

I go to church with a man who was brought back from the dead.... literally. He's in his early 20s & was into drugs heavily. One night, he overdosed. (I don't know all the details, forgive me.) Well, somehow an ambulance was called & came to get him. On the way there, the EMTs called the hospital & announced what was going on. The nurse on duty happened to be his mother. When he got to ER, his heart was beating 4 times PER MINUTE. He had no brain activity. The doctors had give him up for dead. The pastor & his wife & a few other people came from church, laid hands on him & prayed. Before the week was out, he was released from the hospital walking with the help of his mother. Be the very next week, he was walking on his own. He has very little brain damage.

Good is not an adequate enough word to describe God. :):

Yes He does heal! He is the great physician.

I wish I understood why some get the miraculous healing and some do not. I believe that it could be any number of reasons including sin that has not been dealt with, unbelief, or simply that God is glorified through an illness, or even death (Jesus' death and resurrection, for example.) Wish we knew more about God's mind and His reasoning at times.

Love in Christ Jesus,
Patricia

I know God heals! Back in 1951 my mother was pregnant with twins --- me and my sister. She lost my twin 2 months before I was born and had a struggle to keep me.

Anything and everything that could go wrong, did. She had an outbreak of shingles so they tried every drug known to mankind to heal her shingles. Not a good thing for a pregnant woman!

My mother went into labor and was in HARD labor for 5 days. Doctors knew so little back then. They did not know they could perform a C-Section once labor began.

On the day I was born, my mother was so exhausted from labor. Her lungs filled with fluid and she stopped breathing. She was revived but when I was born, I looked as though someone had dipped me in an ink well.

I was seriously ill for the entire first year of my life. Doctors told my mother that I had brain damage, I would never be able to learn, I was legally blind (could only see shadows), would never take a normal step without braces on my legs, and my thumb and index finger were permanently curled in the palm of my hand.

When my mother asked the minister to pray for my healing, he simply told her that this was her cross to bear and that she was just going to have to live with the condition I was in.

Thank God for my mother's faith!!! I was completely and I mean COMPLETELY healed!!! There is absolutely no sign of any kind of birth defect. I walked perfectly, I had 20/20 vision until I was in my forties, and I have a 4-year college degree.

The wonderful thing is that I remember the healing.

As I said in a post , a couple of months ago, having had a healing has felt like a blessing and a curse. A curse because I feel so sad for others who are not healed. It has been especially difficult to be around those who have brain damage. I have always wished I could lay hands on people, pray and see them be healed as I was. Of course, healing is not always God's plan and it is difficult to understand why. Through the years, I have just learned how to accept this and simply pray for healing and strength for others.

Yes! Yes! YES!!!!

The night I was saved God delivered me out of a 3-decades long addiction to booze. Haven't had the slightest desire to drink from that night on. :D:

The healing was instant, complete, and totally apart from anything I could have done of my own volition. It was a miracle!

I have been diagnosed with heart failure, still waiting on test results to see what stage it's in. People are praying with me for my healing, and I know I will be healed, but and this is where I get in trouble with some of my fellow pentecostals, He may choose to call me home for my healing, but healed I will be. And if that is his plan, some good will come from it.

There has been many testimonies of people not being healed @ Benny Hinn Crusades while there has been many testimonies of people being healed.
