I need to try to convince a friend that the Bible is literal and not symbolic. I figure that a good place to start is to look at bible prophecy already furfilled. Can someone point me to a site or give me some help on finding places I can look.

Most people start off w/ that position regarding the first several chapters of Genesis. If this is the position, you could point to Jesus, (sorry i don't have the passages nor a Bible in front of me), b/c Jesus referred to Adam as a historical literal person.
If this is the area you are inquiring about, let me know and i'll dig up some passages.

If it is another aspect of scripture they don't hold as literal, what is it and where so we can pinpoint a particular subject.

It depends what verses you're talking about and where, as to which they are.
