Does anyone know any good sites or places that I can go to for information on how to study the Bible? I read different books here and there but I really want to get serious and study the Word intelligently. Please let me know, and to anyone who is reading this, God bless you today and keep you!!

Take care everyone

Step 1

Look in God's word

Begin by reading the passage of Scripture. Underline, circle, or otherwise mark text if it will aid your study.

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of the sinners or sit in the seat of the mockers.

Step 2

List the facts

What does the passsage say? Make a verse-by-verse list of the most outstanding obvious facts. Don't paraphrase; be literal as you list the facts

Ex.

v.1 Blessed is the man who does not walk, stand or sit with the wicked.

Step 3

Learn the lessons

What does the passage mean? Identify a lesson to learn from each fact. Focus on the spiritual lesson

V.1 Compromise with the world begins casually - and can rob us of God's blessing.

Step 4

Listen to His Voice

What does the passage mean to me? Rewrite lessons from step 3 in the form of questions. Be personal as you formulate your questions.

Ex. What blessing am I missing because I don't take seriously the first step of compromise?

Step 5

Live in Response

Pinpoint what God is saying to you from this passage. How will you respond? Write down today's date and what you will do now about what He said.
