I checked out this movie from Blockbuster and thought it was pretty good. It was an eye opener. It is about a Bible Professor who comes to the future from the 1890's and is a witness to our times. It is about what he thinks of our times we live in today and how we have become complacent and accepting of things we regard as everyday occurences. These things were horrific to him. The movie is correct though - we have really been accepting of way too much. If you get a chance check it out. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

I thought that this movie was only in small theaters. I was surprised to see it at Blockbuster for rent. Rather than rent it, I bought the only copy they had, and bought another copy for my friend who runs a Christian book store. His distributor couldn't ship it to him until October.

I really liked the movie. Dr. Carlisle's little sermon in the church was very inspiring to me.

I did show it to my sister in law who is unsure of whether or not to accept Jesus. She started asking alot of questions after the movie, and I think this movie may have helped her come a little closer to accepting Him. We'll see......

Great movie, in my opinion!!

I thought this movie was excellent. It certainly was an eye opener to me how sinful our world has become.

I loved it too! It's sad to think how much morals have changed in such a short amount of time!

I saw it on TBN several weeks ago and I haven't been able to get it off my mind ever since. I rented it a few days ago and had my dh and 3 teenagers watch with me. I am going to buy the two copies that our Blockbuster has for sale and give it to a couple of people that would really enjoy it. Simple movie, huge message. :thumb

Thanks for the heads-up. I went to Blockbuster tonight and got the 1 copy they have to rent:rolleyes , and our family was more than blessed by it. Certainly one worth buying and sharing.

So many things said in the movie are exactly what I've been feeling for quite some time.

Just realize that there's a LOT of set up and background information stuff that takes place at the beginning of the movie... some people found it boring... but keep watchin'... it gets REALLY good! :thumb

I really liked it too.

My heart sank at the congregations' reaction to his talk/sermon.

But I have to admit...I got a little guilty satisfaction at the end. ;):

I too give this a :thumb

I liked how tame they showed everything. His 'culture shock' examples were nothing compared to what we see on a daily basis.

Powerful way of making the point. :freaked

I just rented this from blockbuster too. What a great movie! The best line was at the end . . . " I think we just missed the rapture!"
