Why are we here?

I think most on this board will agree, that once we accept Christ as our savoir we are bound for Heaven. So the question is, why are we still here? If we have already made our decision, why can’t we just go straight to Heaven?

What does God want?
That we should be saved and ALL others also.

What does Satan want?
That we should not be saved, and neither should ANYONE else.

So why are we here?
So that we can share with those who are not saved.

If you believe that you can lose your salvation, there will be times when you are not sure that you are saved. If you are not sure of your salvation, how effective will you be at sharing your faith?

Satan’s first priority… That you don’t get saved!
Satan’s second priority… That you don’t get anyone else saved!

Satan wants you to question your salvation!

If I am not sure how well I can swim, how likely is it that I will swim out to rescue someone else.

This IS NOT to start a debate!

Just some thoughts to think about!

In Christ,
Goodboy

You might noty be able to swim, but you can still be there to throw them a lifejacket and holler encouragement :thumb

amen icebear.

These are good things to ponder goodboy, but the thing we need to focus on is putting on our armor so we can defend ourselves.

Encouragement, support teams and biblestudy take care of alot of those needs if done right.. which is why I've stuck around this website so long

We are here to be a witness to God and Jesus.

The answer to this, as in all questions, is "To Glorify God".

I never had but a few minutes when I first posted but I thought I would elaborate now...

Discover this... from the first verses of the Bible to the last almost every question imaginable can be answered by the phrase "to God's Glory"... or "to Glorify God".

Why did God Create the Angels? ..."to Glorify God".
Why did God Create the heavens?..."to Glorify God".
Why did God Create man?..."to Glorify God".
Why did God choose a people?... "to Glorify God".
Why did God send his Son to save a remnant?..."to Glorify God".

even on the down side...

Why did God permit sin in Adam?..."to God's Glory" in saving those who sin.

Why did God permit the Jews to be taken into Egypt?..."to God's Glory" in bringing them out to their new land.

Why did God have His Son give His Life?..."to Glorify God" in the saving of these believers.

Why is the world in such a shape as it is today and headed for distruction?... to fulfill prophecy and "to Glorify God" in bringing home the saved
