Ok so I live in an apartment and we knew that we were going to be paying a lot of money when we moved out for the carpets. They were probably going to have to be replaced (I have a 4 yr. old boy!!) Well now the water heater has issues and leaked going from a closet outside to a puddle as big as my full sized couch under it!! The night before last it was a very small puddle in front of the couch I actually yelled at my son for spilling something the next morning I found it to be as large as the couch a foot wider than the couch so now they have the hot water off and the carpets pulled up with a blower and de-humidifier for 3 days!!!! Well hopefully the water gets fixed today. I feel like crap because the place is a mess and I can’t even clean it! So I was praying for help to get through it and my neighbor comes in and tells me that it is actually a good thing because now I don’t have to pay for my carpets. Now I feel fine and ready to deal with the problems such as my son touching it or my daughter crawling on it. GOD works in crazy ways and I thank him for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:angel

I agree!! I'm happy for you about the carpets.
God does work in crazy ways. Our house is about 20 years old, and we've owned it for 7 years. One of the things I really didn't like about the house was the kitchen. Old 80s vinyl, boring countertops - just not me at all. BUT, we never had enough money to replace these things. So last summer, God gave us mold under the kitchen sink. And because it was from a leak in our disposal, our insurance company covered the claim. We got a kitchen makeover for free!! New counters, new sink, new floors, new ceilings. I was so thrilled! Now my kitchen is my favorite room in the house!

Nothing that I know of! :D:
But if you think about it, we've actually paid for our kitchen just with our insurance premiums.
Of course, 2 months after our claim, our insurance company stopped covering mold claims, so God's timing was perfect as usual.

Abba's you are stalking my posts ....:freaked
My point , which I didn't make is ......does God really intervene in these seemingly ordinary manners ? Causing a pipe to burst ? Or water heater to leak ? I think I understand it could indirectly occur through God , but to say God caused my water heater to leak ...that I don't quite understand. Maybe I am taking words out of context and rather what is being said is...."merely" Praise God for all things that happen , of his doing directly and indirectly ?

*laughs* No, I'm not stalking YOUR posts. :laugh I am just a bit homebound right now, so this is how I fill time... not watching soap operas with vampires in them or talk shows telling us how the spirits of our dead relatives are alllllll around us. :rolleyes
What I THINK she's saying is, she was in a fix with her apartment (having TWO little boys, I can certainly understand her delimma)... she was going to have to pay for new carpetting,etc... and that stuff's EXPENSIVE... I don't think she meant to say that God reached down and physically caused the hot water pipe to leak all over the place, but that He worked it in a time when it would work to the GOOD for her because she loves Him. The pipe was GOING to leak, but God worked it so that it did when she needed the help. If it'd leaked AFTER she moved out, she'd have had to pay for new carpetting.
Please feel free to contradict me if I'm putting words in your mouth or incorrectly interpretting you, Kris. :):

You know he does... I went to a store and saw a picture and I thought it was nice and I was going to give it to my friend who just got married. A day later I found out at night that her husband's birthday was the next morning!!! God knew I needed a present before I went to give it to them :laugh
