How am I to know which church is a good church that will help me in my life for Christ??? I live in Tucson Arizona but for a little over a year now I have been living with my husband in SanDiego California that is where he is stationed in the Navy I go to church every sunday in Tucson with my mom but I have no idea where to even start in SanDiego also is it really that important for me to do so? My hubby will be deployed for approx 6-12 months in the early part of next year then we will be moved to Washington state some place and I would have to do it all over again. :confused

Finding the right church is very important. We as Christians are responsible for the doctrine coming from our pulpits-check out the Assemblies of God-here is their website- I find them very sound doctrinally and friendly, and most of those that attend are very much in love with Jesus Christ:

IF you are talking about the Calvary Chapels that Chuck Smith started, they are often better than many other places...

Yup -- thats the one!

Their 'thing' is teaching the bible. Chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Oh, and no pleas for cash -- CC's philosophy is that giving should be done as lead by the Lord and in private.

and find that Calvary Chapels are in almost every town. Make sure it's a "Calvary Chapel", because there are other churches using the Calvary name -- and aren't affiliated w/Calvary Chapels.

If you find one (call info for your area) and don't know how to get there, PM me and I'll try to help.

Yes, Cavalry chapels are very well grounded churches. There are alot of churches out there right now that are not preaching the word of God so you have to be a watchful Christian.<><

Paul: Thanks for the link! I do hope this is an answer to prayer! I have SO been looking for a church in my area that teaches the bible and believes in a pre-trib rapture.

I just read their history and beliefs, and I am going to pay them a visit this Sunday!

Here is the site I found of the satellite church in my area - it lists the history of Calvary Chapel and their beliefs:
