Matthew 7

Do Not Judge

Things That Count with God
1 "Judge not, that you be not judged. 2For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, "Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
6"Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

Hi everyone - I could use some help here responding to my VERY LIBERAL sister-in-law. Yesterday, I forwarded a sermon to her called "Hijacked: A Bible Believing Episcopal Priest Takes a Stand." You can read this sermon
here (http://www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=103899&highlight=Hijacked+A+Bible+Believing+Episcopal+Priest+Takes+a+Stand).

In a nutshell, this sermon is a wonderful example of an Episcopal priest taking a stand for the Word. He disagrees with the election of the gay bishop, and he's ready to resign over it.

So, I thought this was such a powerful sermon that I forwarded it on to my family and friends. My sister in law, DD, is not a Christian (as far as I can tell), and she's VERY, VERY liberal. She sends me a note back saying "Whatever happened to judge not lest ye be judged?"

I've been praying for a LONG time for God to give me a chance to witness to her, and I think this might be the answer to my prayer. So I don't want to mess this up. I've been praying all morning about how to word my response to her, and I've been searching scripture for verses to use. I've found some very good verses about the qualities that a bishop needs to have, but I'm afraid she won't even read this if I can't get her past the judgement part.

Anyone have any ideas how to handle this one?
