I believe you've all heard the term, "Selling your soul."
Is this even possible? Would God really allow this?

I don't believe that "selling your soul" is possible in the traditional sense (i.e. making a pact with Satan, etc.). People who would be apt to do such a thing, were it possible, are the kind of people who are already going to lose their soul. The idea of selling one's soul is tied up with the Medieval myths of satan being an ugly man with horns and a pitchfork who lives in underground caves full of lava.

my thoughts run along the line of
"your soul ain't yours, its God's...you can't sell it cause you don't have the Title to it. if you make a deal with the devil it is not binding cause the devil has no power over God to make Him in debt to him if He refuses to deliver."
of course God won't be too impressed with you if you try.
like if you tried to sell your mom's car to some friend of yours under 18.
the car does not belong to you and the person under 18 has no legal right to make binding contracts anyway....
at leas thats my understanding.
correct me if i'm wrong.

Which also makes the issue of "swearing to God" a moot point :D:

correct me if i'm wrong. Right "out of the chute" your soul is already sentenced to death from both the Original Sin (Adam's) and of course your very personal own sins. If it weren't bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus you would by default be Hell bound...
